La comunicación mediática como un transporte de contenidos de un emisor a un receptor: crítica desde la perspectiva humanista y realista.

Abstract

It has become evident in recent decades that when discussing the media, there is a tendency to focus almost exclusively on content, while the concept of media itself goes almost unnoticed. This occurs because communication is understood as the transport of information from one point to another. However, by understanding it in this way, central aspects of the very nature of communication are overlooked, leading to both theoretical and practical consequences, especially with the intrusion of new technologies. Thus, the objectives of this work are: first, to determine whether communication as transport allows for a comprehensive understanding of the communicative phenomenon; second, to establish the possible consequences of understanding communication as transport; third, to conduct a critical analysis of the role of technologies in the intelligible reach of the media; and fourth, to identify the contribution of the humanistic and realistic perspective to the way in which new technologies can distort and contribute to the essential media role of the communication media. The method used will be a qualitative theoretical discussion of works by philosophers and theorists on the nature of knowledge and communication.
